Self-Directed Inquiry at KSI
Knowledge Source Institute gives students real-world skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. Key among these is the ability to seek knowledge when and where they want. Students should not have to wait until their university years to independently find and grapple with information. Right now, they have the potential to build apps, research their past, analyze ideas, and articulate opinions by themselves.
To build self-directed inquiry, KSI uses the breakthrough P21 educational model, which puts students' skills first. P21 is all about the four C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Each of these is a crucial necessity of fast-paced 21st century life. From the moment they enter our doors, our students are challenged to understand that world–and build it–together.
